00:11Both incidents happened in regions bordering Ukraine, but the cause of the blast has not been specified by officials.

00:20The first bridge in the Bryansk region collapsed on top of a passenger train travelling from Klimov to Moscow.

00:28At least seven people were killed and 71 were injured.

00:34Hours later, a second train was derailed when the bridge beneath it collapsed in the nearby Kursk region.

00:42The train caught fire and a driver suffered injuries to his legs, said officials.
