SINGAPURA, KOMPAS.TV - Presiden Prancis Emmanuel Macron mengatakan bahwa negaranya tidak mencari konfrontasi dengan China.
Hal ini disampaikan Macron saat berbicara dalam Dialog Shangri-La IISS di Singapura pada hari Jumat (30/6/2025).
"Banyak dari Anda khawatir dan peduli terhadap penghormatan atas kebebasan, kedaulatan, kebebasan navigasi, penghormatan atas kedaulatan Anda, dan sebagainya dan itu memang beralasan," ujar Macron.
"Kami sependapat dengan pandangan itu. Tapi Anda juga tidak ingin bersikap konfrontatif terhadap Tiongkok," lanjutnya.
Dalam pidatonya, ia juga menyampaikan bahwa jika Tiongkok tidak ingin NATO hadir di Asia, maka Tiongkok seharusnya menekan Korea Utara agar tidak mengirim pasukan ke Eropa.
