00:00Comedy is purely a result of your ability to withstand self-torture.
00:09A lot of comedians just laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh.
00:14I like laugh, boo, laugh.
00:20When you walk out on stage, the only thing you can do is grab the reins and just try to ride it.
00:26They'll know when it's a set joke, and they'll know when it's coming from your heart.
00:34It doesn't matter how long you've been doing stand-up comedy.
00:36You are never exempt from a bad night.
00:41See, when you heckle me, you're trying to hurt my feelings.
00:43Just know I'm dead on the inside.
00:46It's definitely not, like, a great way to invest in your romantic life.
00:51There's got to be a secret, right?
00:53Well, Kevin, I didn't see it.
00:56I'm like, see what? What are you talking about?
00:59Potential.
01:01I don't think you have what it takes to be a comedian.
01:03I said, god damn, to my face?
01:07NEXT!
01:11Not doing well as a comedian is an existential crisis.
01:14I've had 500 people in a room, and it's been going so badly that at the back of the room, I heard...
01:32We live for the thirst of laugh at us.
01:35And when you take that from us, you know, a little bit of us dies.
01:41I'm telling them something that really happened to me, to try to get out of someone wanting to fight me right now.
01:46There was a guy who punched me on stage.
01:48I'm saying literally, uh, through Chazie.
01:50People have no filter.
01:52When I was younger, it used to just literally, it would kill me.
01:55And now I'm able to, uh, float through it now because, uh, I have money.
02:01I have money.
02:02I'm so very famous.
02:03All the heralding, the awarding, the trumpeting, the lauding, who cares?
02:11That laugh is better than any trophy.
02:13And that's what I live for.
