Russia is 'mocking' the US, Lithuanian defence minister tells Euronews

00:00Lithuania's defense minister has accused Russia of mocking the U.S. government over the Kremlin's refusal to engage meaningfully in ceasefire talks.
00:11She made the comments in an interview with Euronews during NATO exercise in Lithuania.
00:18They don't really take this process seriously. They stall. In my opinion, we already mock American government. They are showing disrespect to any effort to reach any agreement.
00:31On the other hand, I mean, or should they? They have fully transformed their economy to wartime economy.
00:38Still, I think that efforts by the United States to stop this war are worthwhile. We can see how that ends.
00:44But in my opinion, in the end, what is going to be the only efficient means is regenerating Ukrainian army and building military muscle in Europe.
00:55That's the only deterrent that Russia understands.
00:59Ukraine and Russia are expected to resume direct peace talks on Monday in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
