00:12Or maybe Allah doesn't want it because something might go wrong with the children,
00:15the couple will have and you don't know.
00:17I'm not saying don't try.
00:18You try.
00:19You speak to your parents.
00:20You convince them.
00:21You can even change your wilayah if you want.
00:23You know what that means?
00:24This is my wali.
00:25He's my father.
00:25I will go to the panel of scholars and tell them my father is blocking my marriage
00:29without any reason.
00:30So I want to marry without my dad.
00:32And if you qualify for that, you can actually shift that wilayah to a wali will be someone else.
00:38Who will it be?
00:38That panel of scholars in an Islamic country, you'd have the qadi or someone who would represent you as a wali.
00:44So the person becomes a wali of yours.
00:47So you need to be careful because sometimes if you do that and you know that the person you want to marry
00:51is not standing on their own two feet in terms of, you know, finances and so on,
00:56you might have to come back to your family one day and they might not want you at that stage.
