00:00Hey guys, welcome back to Explainer X today, I am going to recap a 2019 horror fantasy movie,

00:05name down. So, let's begin. The movie begins by showing a large corporate building. We see here

00:11a girl named Jane who was working very late today. Yesterday was Valentine's Day and Jane

00:16was about to fly to New York today to surprise her ex-boyfriend. After finishing work, Jane

00:20starts leaving. On the second floor we see the guy who was in the bathroom and accidentally wet

00:25his paint. Then after the paint dries, he comes out and the whole time the guy is looking at

00:29something important on his phone. Guy also goes to the same lift in which Jane was, both of them did

00:35not know each other. Guy talks to Jane and here we get to know that there is an office holiday for

00:40five days. Therefore, the office will be closed for the next five days. Inside the lift, the two talk

00:46for a while and the guy's eyes go to a drawing made on the wall of the lift in which a boy was trapped

00:50inside a box. Then the guy shows this painting to Jane and then suddenly their lift stops in the

00:55middle. Guy presses the elevator's call button and emergency button but a security guard answers

01:00them. Does not give after this, both of them shake hands looking at the camera, but they also do not

01:05get any answer. Both also tried to call but the signal was not coming inside the lift. Now Jane

01:10panics as she had to catch a flight to meet her ex-boyfriend. Now both of them talk after giving up,

01:16then Jane tells that she works as an account manager here. Then the guy says that he is a newcomer to this

01:21office. After some time both of them remember that there is an emergency exit on top of all the lifts.

01:26Then Jane tries to open the exit by climbing on top of the guy, but there is no use and Jane gets

01:31hurt in her hand. Then several hours pass and both tell each other their names. Jane says that she is

01:37very thirsty. On this the guy gives him his water bottle. He also had a bottle of wine which was given

01:42to him by his client. Jane says that now we have been imprisoned here for five days because no one is

01:48coming to the office because of the holiday. After some time Jane gets toilet. But she was ashamed to

01:53do this in front of the guy. Guy explains to her that there is nothing to be ashamed of. Then the

01:58guy asks her to toilet inside the empty bottle. Now Jane agrees to it and the guy turns to the other

02:03side and then Jane toilets inside that empty bottle. Now after some time, Jane also draws a

02:08picture of a girl in that drawing. A few more hours pass and both of them talk to pass the time and also

02:13play games. Jane asks the guy if he has any friend or girlfriend. Who comes here looking for him? To

02:19which the guy tells that he has no friends or girlfriends and no one even knows that he works

02:23in this building. Jane tells that something similar happened to her as well. She was going to go to

02:27New York today. After talking for a while to surprise their ex-boyfriend, both of them start

02:32drinking wine of the guy. A few hours later, it is one o'clock in the night and both of them start

02:37drawing each other to pass the time. Meanwhile, Gaia tells Jane that I have hidden one thing from you.

02:42Then the guy tells him that I have seen you many times in the hall outside the office and I find

02:46you very beautiful since then. Now hearing this, Jane starts blushing a little. After this both show

02:51their drawing to each other. Guy made a beautiful picture of Jane. The same Jane drew the guy very

02:57strange. Then Jane tells the guy that they should talk about something else. Hearing this, the guy says

03:22Now both of them will go their own way after getting out of this lift. But the guy wanted to

03:26take this relationship forward. Hearing this, Jane says. That what they did was just casual and nothing

03:31more could happen between them. Hearing this, the guy starts getting a little angry. After this the guy

03:36says that I love you, so I will be honest with you. After saying this he knows all. Tells what

03:41he had hidden from Jane. He says that he is not new to this building and has seen Jane not a few

03:46times but thousands of times. She knows everything about Jane, how she often works overtime and finally

03:52gets out of here. After this the guy shows his mobile to Jane which had the CCTV video of Jane coming

03:57out. Actually the guy is the security guard of this building and he sees Jane in the CCTV every day.

04:03He wanted to get Jane, so whatever is happening with Jane was already planned by the guy. Meaning

04:08their getting stuck in the lift was not an accident but part of the guy's planning. He did this so that

04:12he could get closer to Jane. After saying this, the guy takes out the key of the lift from him and

04:17tells Jane that she can leave if she wants and with the help of the key, the guy starts the lift again.

04:22Now Jane gets very angry knowing all this and she tells the guy that you kidnapped me and after

04:27leaving here I will complain to the police. This makes their guy stop again. Jane starts fighting

04:32with the guy forgetting the keys. The key involved in these gets broken and now these people really

04:37get stuck inside here because the key was the only way out. Seeing this, Jane angrily hits the sandals

04:42in the guy's head and the guy also hits Jane's head on the floor, making both of them unconscious.

04:48After some time both of them regain consciousness. Jane asks him why he cannot be the only security guard

04:53in the building. On this the guy tells that there are actually three guards in this building.

04:58But the guy already told the other two guards that he would shift them too.

05:01And the other guard, whose name is Teddy, had to go on a date, so the guy shifted him too.

05:06After hearing all this, Jane calls him a kidnapper, which makes the guy angry and he starts acting

05:11like crazy. Then he checks Jane's purse. Inside the purse was a shirt that Jane was carrying for

05:16her ex-boyfriend. Seeing this, the guy wears himself. After this he tells Jane to open the second gift box

05:23and Jane opens the gift box out of fear. Inside that box was a cigar and lighter and then the guy

05:28starts lighting the cigar. Seeing this look of guy, Jane gets very scared so she sits in peace.

05:33A few more hours pass and the guy notices that there are no screws on the lift. That is,

05:38there must be an emergency exit inside the lift. Then he somehow goes upstairs to check and there

05:43he gets an emergency exit. After this he asks Jane to help him climb up and after leaving here he will

05:48open the lift. But Jane didn't trust him at all. So she says I will not be able to lift you.

05:53So let me out first Jane. At first the guy refuses because he thought Jane would cheat on him.

05:58But Jane assures the guy that she will not call the police and both will go on a date after leaving

06:03here. Then the guy trusts her and sends her out in the lift. But Jane cheats on the guy and she

06:08doesn't pull him out which makes the guy very angry. After this, Jane climbs up the stairs and

06:13starts going near the exit door. On the other hand the guy makes a rope of clothes and then as soon

06:18as he gets out of the lift, then he starts going towards Jane. Jane was about to get out but the

06:23guy pulls her down due to which both of them fall inside the lift directly from above and both of

06:27them faint. After a while, Jane first regains consciousness. She immediately sets fire to

06:33some paper so that the fire alarm goes off and the fire department comes here and saves them.

06:37But only then the guy comes to his senses, but Jane beats him up and binds him. After this she

06:42starts cutting the private part of the guy with the cigar cutter but the guy starts crying seeing this.

06:47But then seeing his condition. Jane does not do this. After this, Jane records the guy's confession

06:52in his mobile so that he can later make a police complaint against the guy with the help of this.

06:57Meanwhile, the guy also tells that he was actually a popular manager and the story he told to Jane was

07:02also true, but the guy's life changed when he was getting intimate with a girl in the car.

07:06Fell in the ditch. The guy survived in this accident, but that girl was killed and for this reason the

07:12guy was jailed for 6 months. When he came out of jail, no company was ready to give him a job and

07:17that is why he was hired as a security guard. Had to work then he also reveals that he made this

07:22plane with lift because he knew that Jane would never date a modest security guard. On the other

07:26hand we see that another security guard named Teddy has brought his girlfriend to visit this building.

07:31Just then he sees in the CCTV that two people are trapped in the lift and he goes to help them.

07:36He opens the lift from outside and gives one of his manual keys to the guy so that he can open the

07:41lift from inside. But the guy says that he needs help, so Teddy himself starts going inside the

07:46lift. But as soon as the man goes inside, the guy starts the lift, due to which Teddy dies there.

07:51Jane gets scared seeing all this, so the guy knocks her unconscious and then he locks her in the trunk

07:56of his car. After this, he also hides Teddy's body. Then he goes to the CCTV room and then deletes all

08:03the CCTV footage from there as well. Meanwhile, when he sees Teddy's girlfriend, the guy kills her too.

08:08After this, the guy sits in the car and goes to a deserted street and starts sprinkling petrol in

08:14the dustbin there. Actually he was about to burn Jane here, but when he opens the dickie,

08:18Jane secretly attacks the guy. Then she pushes the guy and leaves by sitting in the car.

08:23After walking a short distance, she reverses the car and then hits the guy, causing the guy to fall

08:28into the dustbin. After this, Jane gets out of the car and she sets fire to the dustbin,

08:33which also sets fire to the guy and then he dies there and in a similar way,
