00:00You mentioned Conn Smythe before, and a certain way that maybe you want to try to play it.
00:04Obviously, coming into this series, McDavid is the favorite, of course, on the Edmonton side.
00:10We talked about Bobrovsky last week, really hovering around maybe a little bit less the same price that we had last week when we did the show for him.
00:18You've got Barkov, who's moved up a little bit, then Dreisaitl, you have Kachuk, you have Sam Bennett.
00:23Stuart Skinner is not on that board, but he's 40-1, I can tell you right now.
00:27What are your thoughts on the Conn Smythe?
00:30So I jumped on Bobrovsky last week when we spoke about it at plus 350 or wherever it is.
00:35The play that I would make at this point, like if you don't have a future on either of these teams, you're just coming into this totally empty in your pocket.
00:42I think McDavid at plus 110, like it's not a big number, but I like to look at it in terms of the differential of where their series price is, because their series price is at minus 114.
00:51Plus one tech's better than minus 114, so you're effectively betting on Edmonton to win the series.
00:56Now, we could see the same thing as last year, where he wins the Conn Smythe, but it was in a losing effort.
01:01Like that exact same thing could happen this year.
01:04If Florida wins, I do think Bobrovsky would win.
01:07They'll just simply give it to him this year, as we spoke about last week.
01:09But if Edmonton wins the series, McDavid is going to win the Conn Smythe.
01:13I don't think it'll be Skinner.
01:15I don't think it'll be Leon Dreisaitl.
01:16So plus 110 is better than minus 114.
01:19That's how I play Conn Smythe coming into this.
01:21I agree with you on McDavid.
01:23I think that if you think Edmonton is going to win this series, that is your way to go.
01:28Yes, you do have maybe a little bit of a parachute.
01:32I find it hard to believe, as we said last week, that they would do that two years in a row.
01:36I don't think they would give it to him as the losing player in back-to-back years.
01:40You've got to give it to someone from Florida if they end up winning the Cup this year.
01:43We hope it's Bobrovsky off of what we did last week.
01:46But, you know, Dreisaitl, he'd have to really go nuts in the Stanley Cup.
01:54That's what I was just going to say.
01:55I think he would need a couple of games with the hat trick.
01:59I think he would need an overtime winner.
02:00I think you would need to see a really special series from Dreisaitl to get it done.
02:06It would have to be like Jalen Brown last year in the NBA, where he hits the game-winning threes in the corner.
02:10It would have to be monumental game-altering, series-altering goals by Dreisaitl for him to take it away from McDavid.
02:17And ultimately, that means the Edmonton wins, so you can just play them on the series price and add a smaller play on Dreisaitl.
02:22But I do think McDavid is the answer.
02:24All right, series, as you mentioned.
02:26Edmonton is the favorite.
02:28They are minus 114, depending on where you shop.
02:30Florida, minus 106 there.
02:32The total game's at 5.5.
02:34Of course, you can lay the series spread price, minus 1.5, with the Oilers at plus 190.
02:40Is there anything you're looking at here, series-wise, that you want to do for these two?
02:45Yeah, I'm taking Edmonton to win 4-2 and Edmonton to win 4-3, direct series predictions.
02:51So you get those at plus 400, plus 500.
02:54I think Edmonton comes away with it.
02:56And I love the fact that in these series, like in play, any series playoffs, you can bet it multiple ways.
03:00So if they were to win 4-2, it does mean that they cover the series spread.
03:04It does mean the series goes over five and a half games.
03:06We land on exactly six games in the series.
03:08And there's multiple ways to play.
03:09I'm not saying to have a piece of everything, but there are multiple ways to skin a cat, essentially.
03:14And also, if we do lose that sixth game and we are pushed to a seventh game, you can hedge out.
03:19Like, I could simply bet on Florida Moneyline at that point to make back what I had over those initial first two bets.
03:24I may not come out positive, but at least getting back to where I was at zero would be a good spot.
03:28So I like Edmonton to get it done.
03:30And like you said, it's not going to be 3-0 one way, then they come back 3-0.
03:33It's going to be one win, one win, back and forth, really all the way until Game 7, I think.
