Saudi Arabia wants to become a "hub for AI"

Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister for International Relations at the Ministry of Investment, Sara Al Sayed, said the country wants to become a "hub for AI" during Fortune’s ASEAN-GCC Economic Forum on Wednesday.

00:00In the sessions today, I listened to the Honorable Prime Minister and he highlighted AI as a very important factor and enabler.

00:09AI is as important as it is for us in Saudi Arabia.

00:14Just recently, our crown prince announced a company, launching a company, it's a PIF company, it's called Humane.

00:20And it manages the whole streamline that includes data centers, it includes infrastructure and what have you.

00:30And we're already collaborating with the big names such as Amazon, what have you.

00:35And we hope to be a hub for AI, so this is possibly a potential area for us to collaborate on.
