00:00I'll tell you that if God had answered my prayer for promotion a couple of years ago,

00:07I would not have been equipped to handle the challenges that come with this blessing.

00:13Because when we receive blessing, they also come with challenges.

00:17If you are not doing a job in line with your calling, in line with your destiny,

00:35pray that 2025 would be a year of relocation.

00:42Hmm. Even if you have to go through a little discomfort to get to your destined job, be prepared for it.

00:52We cannot continue to simply work for the sake of mere material resources.

01:00No. We must work in line with our calling.

01:04We must work in line with our destiny.

01:07We must work in line with what God has promised and purposed for us.

01:14If it needs be, let 2025 be a year of relocation from where you are to where he wants you to be.

01:23Let us offer that prayer.

01:26My name is Ian Kern Bishop, and this is my beautiful wife, Ashley.

01:30Around seven years ago, I was hired at an irrigation district, and my job title is a water manager,

01:41which means I'm responsible for, in the summertime, making sure that the water flows to the farmers

01:48so they can irrigate their crops, and speaking with the farmers to make sure that they have what they need

01:56and that the water is the right amount.

01:59But in the wintertime, when the water would go off for the season,

02:04the nature of the job would change to maintenance on the canal.

02:08At that time, it felt like my employer didn't really know what to do with me because there was no water.

02:15When I first started seven years ago, being a less experienced construction worker at the time,

02:22usually I would be put on crews where I would be digging mud for 10 hours a day or cutting trees all day.

02:31There were a lot of very, very hard labor jobs that I would do,

02:37and during that time, I did not appreciate the nature of the work I was doing.

02:44I thought it was below what I should be doing because I felt like I had more to offer.

02:53My heart would become a little bit resentful towards my employer and start to feel a little bit bitter about my job to where I didn't want to go.

03:03I was introduced to God's Heart TV about a year and a half ago by my wife.

03:08As I had been attending the interactive prayer services every month, something changed in my heart because I was seeking God and in my relationship with Him.

03:22I was learning to go to work and be content in my situation.

03:28And instead of working for man, I was going to work and working for the Lord.

03:34This made my job more pleasant and enjoyable.

03:39It made my opinion of my boss and the people around me change.

03:47Instead of seeing them as people who were mean or didn't like me,

03:53I'd look at them as people who needed prayer and needed the Lord in their lives.

04:00Although my experience at my job was improving, I still felt like the Lord had a greater calling for my life as far as my career.

04:12And we were on the interactive prayer service around New Year's for 2025.

04:19We were sitting here on the couch and praying.

04:22And when the topic came up of praying for the position in our career, I was praying fervently to the Lord.

04:33And just in my heart, I was telling God, I'm ready.

04:39This year, I know that you have a plan for me, and it's good.

04:44But whether it's another job or whether it's making me more content in this position,

04:51I believe, Lord, that you are going to make a way for me and open doors for me.

04:58A month before that service, I did have a phone call.

05:02I was praying at work.

05:03And one of my customers from my other job called me.

05:09He's a farmer.

05:11And he said, what are you doing right now, Ian?

05:15I said, well, I'm still working at the company I was at before.

05:21And he said, well, I'd like you to apply for this job over here.

05:27He said, I don't really see any applicants that I'm very excited about.

05:32And that was around November 24.

05:36But then I didn't hear any follow-up after I put my application in.

05:40And as time went on, I began to get a little bit discouraged or think, maybe this isn't going to happen.

05:50Well, in February, I received a phone call.

05:54And it was from the company I applied for.

05:58And they wanted to give me an interview for the job.

06:01I went in for the interview.

06:02And I'm a person who gets pretty nervous public speaking or in job interviews.

06:09If you give me a guitar and ask me to sing a worship song, no problem.

06:14But talking in front of people is not my specialty.

06:18At the interview, the Lord gave me all the words to say the job I applied for was another irrigation district.

06:26But instead of being a water manager, this time I'm the manager of the whole irrigation district.

06:35And so I was hired to run the company.

06:38So my name is Ashley.

06:40And this is my wonderful husband, Ian.

06:43And we're from the United States of America.

06:46So I had first found God's Heart TV over a year and a half ago.

06:52At that time, I had stagnation in my life.

06:57I wasn't working at all.

06:58I was unemployed.

06:59Before, I had lived a very sinful life that the Lord had delivered me from of criminal activity and drug addiction.

07:08And because of that, it was hard for me to find a job because of my criminal record.

07:14And what would happen, there was actually a few times where I had gotten hired.

07:21And then afterwards, they had done my background check.

07:25And they saw the charges that were on my record.

07:28And they didn't want me to be a part of the company, which was understandable.

07:33And so the Lord gave me the verse to not lean on my own understanding,

07:39but to acknowledge Him in all of my ways and He'll direct my path.

07:44And so I would continue in the God's Heart TV Zoom prayer services.

07:49And I started to see breakthrough in my life.

07:52And I was praying and asking the Lord for Him to open an opportunity for a job where I can share how God has changed my life.

08:05And as I was searching online, I found the title.

08:09It's called a peer support specialist.

08:11And this is so awesome.

08:12It literally said, we want to hire someone that has lived experience with either substance use disorder or who has gone through mental health challenges.

08:25And we want them to use their story as an inspiration of hope to help others and to encourage them and let them know that it's not hopeless and that they can get out of the grips of addiction.

08:39And so I ended up praying and applying for this job at a health care company and I ended up getting hired for it.

08:49And so I had been working at my job for close to a year and a half.

08:54And it was shortly after I had started being a part of the Zoom prayer services and I had gotten hired part time at my job.

09:05And the other thing too is I had never been able to maintain a job for over a year.

09:10And I'm over that mark now and being able to excel in my workplace has been so wonderful and not have these hindrances in my life.

09:19On the New Year's Eve service, December 28th, we were praying fervently for promotion and breakthrough in our career.

09:28So a couple months after, I had recently, my supervisor called me into her office.

09:35First, she nominated me for Employee of the Month out of my team.

09:40And she said, we notice how well our clients are responding to you and you are doing very well.

09:48All glory to God.

09:50And she goes, and we want to convert you now to full time.

09:53And on top of that, the people that we work with at my health care company, it's a program of assertive community treatment.

10:03And so the people that we help are people that have high incarceration rates, that have mental health challenges.

10:11We have about 90 people on our caseload.

10:14And every single one of them has experience coming out of a mental hospital.

10:19And so we get to integrate them back into society, help them with wellness tools.

10:26And my supervisor said that she wanted me to lead two of the wellness management recovery groups because of how well the clients are responding to me.

10:37Because learning that our problem is spiritual in life.

10:41So I get to go into these meetings and before meeting my clients and getting to pray and intercede for them, that God will move mightily in their life.

10:53And a portion of the caseload, I have about 15 of them.

10:58And almost all of them now are either going to church or reading the Bible or going to Bible studies.

11:05And the wonderful part about my job is I'm allowed to share that Jesus changed my life because it's my testimony.

11:14He turned my mess into a message.

11:16And he turned those tests into a testimony.

11:18And my clients, even though they have those mental health challenges and are struggling with those things, they see that there's something different about me.

11:30And getting to encourage them and see the progression that the Lord has done in their life is incredibly rewarding.

11:39I never thought that it would even be possible to have a job like this, you know, because the enemy would come in and try to bring guilt and shame from my past that the Lord had forgiven me of since I had repented and completely turned from my ways.

11:56And so that's the wonderful breakthrough that God has brought into me and my husband's life after joining these Zoom prayer deliverances and also just having the joy of the Lord.

12:12I've never experienced life in such a wonderful way.

12:16And I'm so grateful for such an amazing living ministry.

12:22And I'm just, I'm so thankful and appreciative.

12:26My advice would be that no matter what situation you're in and no matter how the physical appearance of things around you may seem, that God is bigger than all of our problems or all of our, our situations.

12:44And that he has us in a certain position for growth.

12:51And so he can develop our character.

12:54And that even though you may not see God working in your life and listening to your prayers, even though you may not hear him in the moment, that he is always listening and he's always watching you and he cares and he wants to answer your prayers.

13:12I will tell you that if God had answered my prayer for promotion a couple of years ago, I would not have been equipped to handle the challenges that come with this blessing.

13:26Because when we receive blessing, they also come with challenges and all glory to Jesus that he, through the struggles and the trials that I had to go through to get to this point in my life, that I am now more equipped and prepared to handle the situations that arise before me.

13:44And also to be a blessing to those around me and help direct them towards Jesus.

13:52Overall, just keep your faith in Jesus and don't worry about what things look like and how long it's going to take because God's perfect timing is going to make everything okay for you.

14:07Yes, so my word of advice would be after the Zoom prayer deliverance sessions, how important it is to maintain your deliverance by staying in the word of God and meditating on it day and night.

14:24One of my favorite verses where King David, in the book of Psalms, he said, Lord, hide your word within my heart so that I might not sin against you.

14:35So that would be my word of advice is having our daily bread.

14:40You know, we can't live without the word of God.

14:43His word revives us.

14:45It gives us life.

14:47It helps us to renew our mind.

14:49So that would be my word of advice.
