00:00At the beginning of the story, we are introduced to Tess Thorne, a famous author who is talking on the phone with her friend.
00:07Tess is known as a writer of mystery and thriller novels, and that day, she is scheduled to attend a fan meeting at a library.
00:15She quickly got ready, entered her destination address into her GPS, and set off.
00:19After a long and winding journey, Tess finally arrived at the library with her heart pounding with excitement.
00:36As soon as she got out of the car, she was greeted by Ramona, the warm and friendly owner of the library.
00:42With a big smile, Ramona approached her.
00:44She was the one who invited Tess directly to come and share her life story and writing experience with the fans.
00:51Upon entering the library, Tess took a deep breath.
00:55She felt a mixture of happiness and gratitude.
00:58The atmosphere inside is lively and energetic.
01:01Her familiar readers immediately showed cheerful faces when they saw her coming.
01:06When Tess stood in front of them and began to speak, she felt genuine support and admiration.
01:12These fans were not just readers, but people who felt touched by the story she wrote.
01:18Seeing their enthusiasm fueled Tess's fire.
01:21In her heart, Tess knew that this was the right place for her to be sharing her stories with people who truly appreciated her.
01:29After the event was over and Tess was about to head home, Ramona approached and told her the shortest way to get to Tess' house.
01:37Grateful for the suggestion, which saved her about an hour, Tess was relieved.
01:42She got into the car and entered the route Ramona had given her into her GPS and set off with renewed vigor.
01:59However, after some time of driving, a stray piece of wood got stuck under her tires, forcing her to stop suddenly.
02:06When he got out to check, he discovered that the wood had punctured his tire.
02:10Now stranded in an old petrol station that has looked abandoned for years, Tess feels isolated on a lonely and dangerous road, with no one to turn to for help.
02:20She faces the daunting task of changing a tire by herself, knowing full well that the chances of finding another vehicle on the road are slim.
02:31As he stood on the side of the road, waiting for a vehicle to pass, he saw a bus approaching and signaled for it to stop, but it continued on its way.
02:39Moments later, he saw another car approaching and again signaled for it to stop.
02:48This time, the car stopped.
02:50Tess immediately approached the driver and asked him to help.
02:54The man agreed and introduced himself as Lester.
02:57As he began to change the tire, Tess felt relieved, confident that she would soon be able to get home.
03:10However, her relief turned to fear when she saw similar pieces of nailed wood in Lester's car.
03:17A bad feeling crept into her heart, making her feel extremely vulnerable.
03:23She realizes that Lester is staring at her with predatory eyes.
03:26Lester's attitude began to change when he realized that Tess was alone.
03:32Before Tess could digest her fear, Lester suddenly approached and smashed her face with brutal force, knocking her unconscious.
03:40He then forces her into a car and drives her to a remote location.
03:46What if I screw you?
03:50When Tess woke up, she was shocked to find herself being brutally attacked by Lester.
03:55In desperation, she cried and begged Lester to stop, but the man's cruelty knew no bounds.
04:03His attacks continued, savoring Tess's suffering.
04:06When Tess lost consciousness again, Lester ruthlessly lifted her body and dragged her into the deeper forest,
04:14then threw her away like a broken doll.
04:16After Lester left, Tess slowly regained consciousness and tried to get up, but she fell back into the cold water.
04:35Her body was covered in wounds and she could barely stand.
04:39Beside her, she found the corpse of another woman,
04:42a victim of Lester's cruelty who was thrown away.
04:45In that desperation, a glimmer of determination appeared in Tess.
04:51She exerted all her remaining strength to walk away from that place,
04:55step by step proving her strong will to survive.
04:58With her body trembling and her mind in turmoil,
05:02she walked along the deserted road, full of fear of the danger that lurked.
05:07When a car approached from behind, panic engulfed her, making her hide in the shadows.
05:12She no longer trusted the passing vehicles.
05:15After a long and tiring journey, Tess arrived at a small shop.
05:25There, she cleaned herself up and tried to contact her friend, but her calls went unanswered.
05:31Frustrated but determined, she finally made it home.
05:35The first thing she did was grab her gun and load it with bullets.
05:38Lester now has her bag and her home address, leaving Tess feeling very threatened.
05:43The trauma she experienced left her too shaken to seek medical attention.
05:49She prefers to confine herself to her home,
05:51seeking refuge from the outside world as she tries to recover from the nightmare she just went through.
05:57Over time, her physical wounds began to heal, but her inner wounds were still gaping.
06:19Filled with a desire for revenge, Tess began planning her next move.
06:23One day, she received a call informing her that her car could be collected, but it had to be done quickly before the police intervened.
06:31On arriving at the vehicle storage center, she met an elderly woman who noticed her injuries and asked what had happened.
06:38Tess recounted her horrific experience.
06:41The woman replies with a sad tale of her own past, where her stepfather tortured and abused her to the point of gouging out one of her eyes.
06:50In a somber tone, she warned Tess of the dangers of vile men and asked her to remain vigilant.
06:56Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
06:57After returning home, Tess checks her computer and discovers that Ramona has taken her picture at the library and suggests a shortcut that turns out to be a trap.
07:12She concluded that Ramona had deliberately directed the path so that Lester could ambush an attacker.
07:19In a shocking plot twist, Tess learns that Lester is Ramona's son, fueled by anger and betrayal.
07:25Tess confirms the truth by finding evidence that Ramona emailed a picture of herself to Lester.
07:41Tess then grabbed her gun and went to Ramona's house with the intention of revenge.
07:55When Ramona opened the door, her eyes widened to see Tess alive and standing in front of her with her gun pointed.
08:04Ramona immediately fell to her knees, begging and crying that she was innocent.
08:10But Tess's heart was hardened.
08:11She didn't care anymore.
08:13As she prepared to fire, Ramona suddenly lunged at her and grabbed the gun.
08:17My son raped me and tried to kill me.
08:22You said he would kill him!
08:24You were perfect for him.
08:35The first rule of gun ownership, don't put a bullet in the chamber.
08:44In a fierce fight, Tess manages to regain control of the situation, grabs the gun,
08:49and in a final act of self-defense, she shoots Ramona dead.
08:57After the horrific act, Tess wipes the blood from her face,
09:01her hands trembling as she stares at the once happy photo of Lester with his sister.
09:14Suddenly, she sees Lester running away with a bandaged hand.
09:20Filled with determination and desperation,
09:23Tess follows him to a remote place that reflects her inner turmoil.
09:27Once there, she searched frantically for Lester, but couldn't find him.
09:41Then she saw a Lori approaching.
09:43She quickly hides, convinced that Lester is inside.
09:46When the truck stopped, she fired her bullet at the driver.
09:50But it wasn't Lester, but Lester's brother, the man from the photo.
09:53What have I done?
10:04Killed the wrong guy.
10:05Realizing her mistake, Tess cried hysterically, regretting the action she had taken.
10:11She then enters the empty house, and with the help of a flashlight,
10:15sees the gruesome pictures on the wall showing Lester and his brother raping and killing women.
10:20Tess finally realizes that these two men and her mother work together to trap, attack, and kill the victims.
10:28She also remembers that during the attack, Lester's brother took pictures of the incident.
10:34Sick bastard.
10:42Suddenly, Tess hears a strange noise and catches Lester at work.
10:47With her gun in hand, she approached slowly like a hungry lioness hunting for prey.
10:53She could have shot from afar, but chose to show her face.
11:07Lester was shocked to see Tess alive.
11:10When Lester tried to attack her, Tess immediately shot.
11:13Despite being wounded, Lester still tried to attack.
11:18Tess then took a nailed wooden stick and hit Lester in the face, making him scream in pain.
11:31Lester tried to escape to the vehicle, but his body was already half dead.
11:36Tess approached him and shot him in the private parts, ending his life.
11:40The film Big Driver illustrates how deep trauma and suffering can give birth to strength and courage.
12:10In the face of brutal violence and heartbreaking betrayal, Tess shows that victims are not always weak.
12:18They can rise up, face their fears, and fight for justice in their own way.
12:23However, the film also presents the dark side of revenge.
12:27That avenging a crime with violence can leave moral scars and emotional baggage in its wake.
12:32The message is clear.
12:34It is important for us not to underestimate or turn a blind eye to the suffering of victims, especially women.
12:41Because often crimes occur not only because of the perpetrators, but because there are people around them who are silent, participate, or even facilitate the atrocities.
12:51Ultimately, the courage to stand up and speak out is the first step to breaking the chain of violence.
12:57Thank you very much.
