00:00Del Toro, no chance. Del Toro is going to take the final left-hand turn and then he is going to ride to victory.
00:06The Maglia Rosa, he is back and he is intent on winning this Giro d'Italia.
00:12He takes a victory from the front in pink. Del Toro is bowing in front of his audience here.
00:21At 144 kilometers, one of the shortest stages of the entire Giro d'Italia.
00:27Plenty of climbing, though, involved before a flat approach to the finish line in Cesano Maderno.
00:34All smiles at the start line.
00:38Giulio Pellizzari greeting the Maglia Rosa, Isaac Del Toro.
00:41Watt van Aert and good spirits for Visma Elisabijk, trying to work for Olaf Koi.
00:46Caden Groves also within a good chance of another stage victory if it were to come down to a bunch sprint.
00:52As they rolled off, though, that was far from certain.
00:55A long, flat approach after the flag dropped at kilometer zero to the first categorized climb of the day meant that the attacks came thick and fast.
01:03Lidl Trek with Dan Hull, but not just Dan Hull as well.
01:07Maz Pedersen in the Maglia Ciclamino trying to force a move.
01:10Long, straight, flat roads following the river Adder.
01:16Maz Pedersen driving it on as the elastics started to strain.
01:21And the closer they got to the first climb of the day at Palasco, the more likely it was that a group would go clear.
01:27In the end, it was an enormous group as the bunch relented and the last counterattacks across to a 34 rider group at the front of the race.
01:36Trouble at the back, though, for Juan Ayuso of UAE Team Emirates, stung by a bee yesterday and clearly in some discomfort, abandoning the race.
01:44At the front of the race, then, the first of the categorized climbs went to Christian Scaroni of Astana.
01:50The first sprint went to Maz Pedersen ahead of Dries de Bont from the breakaway.
01:54And then the second climb of the day at Colle Balizio, also going to Christian Scaroni, ahead of Manoeli Tarozzi, trying to shore up a third place in the King of the Mountains competition.
02:07The peloton, quite comfortable with the size and composition of the breakaway, easing up and allowing the 34 rider group to build up a big advantage.
02:15On to the final climb of the day, Ravellino, the longest climb.
02:22Again, it was Manoeli Tarozzi going clear, this time taking a teammate in Martin Marcellusi and Remy Rochas with him.
02:31And those three riders went through the Red Bull Kilometre in first place as well.
02:35Tarozzi taking the lead in the Red Bull Kilometre overall standings.
02:39And then they approached the finishing circuit of 12.5 kilometres that they would take on two times, full of technicalities.
02:49Marcellusi dropped back to the peloton, leaving Tarozzi and Rochas out there, and then just Tarozzi.
02:54He tried to stay off the front for as long as he could to add to his total in the overall breakaway prize, a classification that he leads.
03:01But eventually, Tarozzi too was reeled in as they approached the entry to the circuit.
03:05The attacks then came thick and fast.
03:10Dorian Godin attacking.
03:12Decathlon AG2R's Driste Bont also on the offensive.
03:15But it was Dylan Van Baal who created the decisive move when things really started to split up at the front of the race.
03:23Despite the best efforts of all the other riders, eventually a 10-rider group went clear when Dylan Van Baal just opened up a little bit of a gap.
03:31Nine riders getting onto his wheel.
03:35And from that moment on, they would not be caught as the chase group with Pedersen and Van Aert gave up the chase and started to drift back.
03:42Ten riders then in contention for the stage victory with the peloton back at 10.35.
03:46Nico Dentz cornering better than anyone else and opening up a gap.
03:50And the German then committing to the move, handling his bike brilliantly through the chicanes and the technicalities of the circuit.
03:57And over the finishing line with an advantage of around about 32 seconds, taking the bell and back out onto the circuit with an advantage that never diminished below 30 seconds.
04:08And Nico Dentz comes to Italy and does it again.
04:11A hat-trick of victories for the popular German.
04:14Red Bull border hands-grower salvaged something from the Giro.
04:18And Dentz does it again.
04:19Red Bull border hands-grower with something to celebrate then after the abandons of Jai Hindley and then Primoz Roglic.
04:29An emotional victory for the German.
04:31A triumph of tactical naus and raw strength.
04:36A very emotional Nico Dentz taking his third ever Giro stage win.
04:39Ahead of Mirko Maestri in second place and Edward Planket sprinting in third.
04:46A day for Isaac del Toro simply to get through.
04:49Firmly in control of the race and allowing the breakaway to contest the stage victory.
04:54No change in the top 10 on GC.
04:57A few more points added to the tally for Maz Pedersen.
05:00Now almost mathematically secure in the Maglia Ciclamino.
05:03And once again Lorenzo Fortunato not in the breakaway for a change.
05:11He'll be hunting stage wins in the two days to come.
05:16And Isaac del Toro one more day in the white jersey.
05:33I don't know.
