Recently while on a sunset walk, a family in the UK made an epic paleontological discovery. They came across several dinosaur footprints, each one perfectly preserved and hidden from human eyes for millions of years.

00:00This video was recently captured on the beaches of Bexel in the UK, and what you're looking at
00:09aren't simply strange rock formations in the sand, but rather fossilized dinosaur footprints
00:13that are more than a hundred million years old. The video was captured by Vicki Ballinger while
00:19on a sunset walk with her kids. Recent high tides and heavy rains had washed away much of the sand
00:23on the beach, exposing the much older rock underneath. That includes deposits containing
00:28eight dinosaur footprints, each one perfectly preserved and hidden from human eyes. And while
00:33they haven't been dated just yet, experts say they could be around 140 million years old.
00:39The area isn't a stranger to prehistoric discoveries, with around 85 fossilized
00:43footprints having been found in the area in 2018 alone. Those included more than seven species
00:48from the Cretaceous period, with some even having preserved imprints of dinosaur skin.
00:54Paleontologists are expected to begin their investigation soon, and will no doubt determine
00:58the type of creature that made the prints. In the meantime, Vicki has a guess, saying
01:02she believes the prints were left by an Iguanodon.
