00:00Hello to friends and colleagues in the Diocese of Blackburn.
00:03It's a truly holy privilege to be called by God to be the next Bishop of Doncaster in the Diocese of Sheffield
00:10and I'm really excited for all that is in store in the future, in the next season for me.
00:16But this new call comes with some sadness as I prepare to leave Lancaster Priory and the Diocese of Blackburn.
00:23Over the last four years, my family and I have loved living in Lancaster.
00:26It's a brilliant place to live.
00:27And being in the North West, it's been a wonderful privilege to be the first female vicar of Lancaster
00:33and to have journeyed with the parish and community through their joys and sorrows.
00:40My time in the Diocese of Blackburn has been deeply formational
00:44and it's really deepened my love for Jesus and for his church.
00:49It's been a gift to work alongside our bishops and archdeacons
00:53and within a brilliant deanery and archdeaconry
00:56with strong, supportive relationships across the whole breadth of our traditions.
01:02I'm so grateful for so many of you.
01:06And so I leave giving thanks for much.
01:09I'm praying for the future for me and for you.
01:12Praying for you that you will know God's blessing
01:15as you work towards the centenary celebrations in 2026.
01:19I'm praying that you will continue to respond faithfully to God's call
