00:00This is one of the best outlooks or platforms for C-suites, executives, decision makers, policy makers.
00:10This is the destination for them.
00:14Launched out of the need to consolidate Qatar's location and strategic position,
00:19the Qatar Economic Forum has become a marquee yearly global event,
00:23a gathering of financial elites and an international platform for dialogue and diplomacy.
00:28A place where ideas ignite and deals are made.
00:33Now in its fifth year, turnout is at a record high and deal making more robust than ever.
00:39This is a year that we're having international sponsors.
00:43You can refer to the logos that we have.
00:44You can look at the C-suite and executives that have been getting into their private jets,
00:49coming to this platform, taking advantage of that,
00:53having that exclusive discussions with the decision makers and ministries from Qatar.
00:57If you look into the overall contribution of Qatar Economic Forum in terms of economic growth,
01:03it has added almost 177.5 million Qatari Riyal in the GDP of Qatar.
01:09What does that mean?
01:10It means a creation of almost 900 jobs throughout the past three years.
01:14Not only does the forum feature business leaders,
01:18ministers and government officials also attend the event as a place
01:21to form partnerships to put policy into action.
01:25Georgia is a regular participant and it's an excellent opportunity for many countries
01:30to see counterparts from different parts of the world.
01:33And I think that in one specific place,
01:35you can have very productive meetings with so many counterparts.
01:38This year, it was quite good for Georgia as well.
01:42Qatar is targeting a yearly GDP growth rate of 4%
01:45as it nears the goal of achieving the National Vision 2030,
01:50which outlines the country's transformation to an advanced and diversified economy.
01:56Helping to steer that vision is Invest Qatar,

02:06This $1 billion incentive program is a national incentive program.
02:11It is to be provided for foreign and local investment projects

02:27For companies looking to do business in Qatar,
02:30they can take cues from the Spanish utilities giant Iberdrola,
02:34which first set up shop in Qatar 15 years ago.
02:38Today, through Iberdrola Innovation Middle East,
02:40the company is expanding with a new arm
02:43dedicated to merging artificial intelligence solutions and sustainability.

02:52So what we are launching today is EastWest Digital.
02:55It's a new company that has the mission to develop

03:03So far we have been innovating in the digital solutions for energy.
03:07We have been applying our solutions in Iberdrola countries.
03:11And now the idea is to leverage all this work
03:13and this new company to commercialize these solutions worldwide.
03:17The Qatar Economic Forum was held days after a historic trip to the Middle East
03:22by U.S. President Donald Trump,
03:24where more than $240 billion worth of agreements were made with Qatar.
03:30Among them is Quantinuum, which, together with Al-Raban Capital,
03:33is committed to developing quantum computing technology in Qatar over the next decade.
03:40It's the largest deal in quantum across nations.
03:43Very specifically, the goal of the deal
03:45is to accelerate quantum computing adoption in Qatar and the region.
03:49We do it in three different ways, but they're all aligned.
03:52One is to get the state-of-the-art infrastructure.
03:55The second is to deeply engage with the seaker system here.
03:58The third is develop the workforce.
04:01It's about how Qatar serves the worldwide market in terms of talent.
04:06The focus on non-oil and future-ready sectors is apparent,
04:09especially when Qatar is committed to the diversification of its economy.
04:14Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council is an entity
04:17that was formed in Qatar to mobilize towards the innovation agenda.
04:22We see it in the Qatar National Vision 2030.
