The London Question: Is it okay to eat on the tube?
Transcript
00:00If someone's chowing down 20 nuggets at 4am and it's stung the carriage out, yeah, it smells great.
00:05I don't mind people eating on the tube as long as people pick up their mess afterwards and it doesn't smell too badly.
00:10I think it can be quite rude because first you don't know if people have allergies, it's a confined space.
00:16In a tube it can be a lot of people in there so yeah, I completely understand that, that some people won't like that.
00:24Well I don't mind because I understand some people don't have like the time to eat around, they're just running, they're busy with work and maybe that's the only time they get to eat so I don't mind unless they keep it clean and don't leave their leftovers.
00:36I just think like eating around people that you don't know, you don't know they could get sick or they could feel sick because of the smell of it.
00:44If it's got like a neutral odour, it's fine.
00:47You just be a little bit mindful towards the people next to you as well and don't eat something more messy or you know that can disturb the person next to you but apart from that I think it should be alright.
00:57Especially when it's like peak hour when you know everyone's trying to get from A to B and you've got someone's food in your face that's never really too pleasant.
01:03If someone's minding their own business and they're doing it quietly then it's less intrusive then it doesn't really bother me.
01:08It doesn't bother me at all, I think that's fine as long as I don't leave a mess everywhere.
01:12I get the hygiene issue but let people do what they want to do.
