World's first humanoid robot boxing match kicks off in China
The China Media Group (CMG) World Robot Competition - Mecha Fighting Series, the world’s first humanoid robot fighting tournament, kicked off Sunday in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Robots, including those from Unitree Robotics, showcased advanced combat skills in livestreamed battles, highlighting China's robotics capabilities.
According to CMG, the event marks a milestone in integrating AI with combat sports. All participating humanoid robots use domestically developed technology. The tournament features both demonstrations and live, human-controlled robot fights.
