00:00Mmm, honey on toast is one of my favourite things.
00:28In today's episode, we're going to be looking at bees and how important they are to our
00:34planet.
00:36Nine out of ten wild plants, and three quarters of the plants we eat, depend on pollinators.
00:45And that is often bees.
00:48It's kind of hard to believe that without bees you couldn't have a beautiful flower that
00:52turned into a nice juicy orange like this.
00:57In this flower there's a tiny drop of nectar.
01:01It's like a reward for the bees and that's why they're here at this flower.
01:05Honey is actually just dehydrated nectar.
01:09So the bees come for the nectar and as they collect the nectar they pollinate the tree.
01:15Without pollination we couldn't have any oranges.
01:18Check all these little guys, they're so busy, there's one right here.
01:25Bees have amazing noses and they can smell these flowers from miles away.
01:29It's the way the flowers cool the bees to tell them that they're ready for pollination.
01:36ителей for seed pup along the bees.
01:39Let it rip.
01:40Let the bees.
