00:00So my name is Katie. I am the car consultant on Shifting Gears. So what I do primarily is

00:06everything involving cars from sourcing them to loading them up on set and finding their placement

00:13along with after getting directions from the director and everyone above me. I make sure that

00:17everyone's okay with where and what we're doing with the cars. A lot of times I will work more

00:23with the director who will give me or ask me what are some possible things that the actors can be

00:31doing on the cars. So I'll give a list of possible tasks and jobs being done on each car. From there

00:36a lot of times the actors will decide themselves on what specific jobs or what tools they want to

00:41be doing, where specifically they want to be standing on the car. We pick cars per episode

00:45based off of what we think is going to look great in the shop along with what we really think is going

00:49to be make the most amount of sense for a fabrication shop. So we're obviously not

00:54mechanic shops. We're not going to have cars that are in here just to be fixed up or have a tire

00:59change. We're going to have cars that are in here being fully restored or modified. My favorite car

01:03so far from this season is probably the 68 Copo. It's not only a beautiful car but it's really fun to drive.
