00:00Morning. The weather remains pretty mixed, but for many today is probably the driest, brightest day of this working week.
00:07There'll be some good spells of sunshine and overall certainly much brighter than yesterday.
00:11But it's far from sunny everywhere, waking up to a lot of cloud over the Midlands, Wales and East Anglia.
00:16Some outbreaks of rain lingering here and they could provide one or two heavy showers as they drift southwards towards the southeast this afternoon.
00:24Also, showers likely to break out across southern Scotland and northeast England.
00:28Hit and miss, but where they do occur, they could be on the lively side.
00:32But overall, certainly compared to yesterday's dull and dismal weather, much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland a lot brighter and some good spells of sunshine again across Scotland.
00:40The wind's not as lively here either as they were yesterday. The breeze continuing to ease down.
00:45And so with lighter winds, a bit more sunshine, it'll feel a bit warmer than yesterday as well.
00:50With temperatures getting into the high teens, close to the average for the time of year, a little higher.
00:55Of course, East Anglia in the southeast, some sunshine here could see highs of 21, 22, perhaps even 23 Celsius.
01:01Now, as we go through this evening, any showers will tend to fade.
01:05Still one or two for the evening rush hour, particularly over northeast England, but they do disappear.
01:09But then look at this, more rain comes marching in through the night, spreading across Northern Ireland, Scotland and a good chunk of England and Wales by dawn.
01:16It all makes for a pretty mild night. We may well dip down to single figures for a time across the far northeast.
01:22But once that cloud and rain has moved in, temperatures picking up and will start Thursday in the teens across parts of the southwest.
01:29But we are going to start pretty drab tomorrow morning.
01:32Lots of cloud, outbreaks of rain and drizzle, some bright colours in there, some heavier bursts likely, especially over southwest Scotland.
01:39That does tend to drift away, but I suspect many western areas always likely to stay quite glum and murky conditions around the coast of Wales, southwest England, over the hills at times, some drizzly conditions as well.
01:52Parts of the Midlands, eastern England may well turn a bit brighter tomorrow by the afternoon, maybe even a glimmer of two of sunshine.
01:59It will be breezy, but that breeze coming up from the southwest, so bringing mild air with it.
02:04So temperature-wise, if we see some afternoon sunshine, we could easily get into the 20s across eastern England.
02:1023, 24 is possible.
02:12Cooler where it stays, pretty soggy across northern England, southern Scotland and northern Scotland.
02:17And that breeze will be quite noticeable at times as well.
02:20So it is turning a little wet and windy for a time on Thursday.
02:23The weather, as I said, continuing to chop and change throughout this week and even in towards the weekend.
02:29So keep up to date with the forecast.
02:31Later on Wednesday, we'll have the 10-day trend.
