00:11I will be working closely with all of our media friends here at the House to give the official statements from the House leadership,

00:24give updates to the exciting times that we are looking forward to here at the Congress in the next coming months.

00:32How is this the first time that you have a spokesperson?

00:35As far as I know, yes. There is a spokesperson for the House aside from the members of the House of Representatives.

00:46What is the need for this?

00:48There are a lot of issues at the Congress, various committees.

00:54There is a need to strengthen the communication from the House to ensure the right and the right information

01:06that we are leaving now. We really want fake news.

01:12Therefore, we need to be better to be transparent with the police that are on the Congress now.

01:20What are you doing today?

01:22Who is the one doing now?

01:24I've been working with the House since my father was elected as congressman.

01:35I think I've worked with several of you when he was the minority leader and even in his

01:40capacity now as chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, I have worked with a lot of

01:46our media friends and also during my stint as the official spokesperson of Mayor Hani

01:52Malakuna. I've worked with many of our media friends who are also assigned here in Congress.

01:57Recently, House leadership has asked me if I would be interested in joining the communications

02:07team to help deliver accurate, transparent, and truthful information for the House of Representatives.

02:16How is it Speaker Room 1?

02:18I haven't spoken with the Speaker himself. I have spoken with the House leadership and

02:23the communication team.

02:24Ma'am, of course, this appointment with the spokesperson comes at a very high time.

02:31Of course, there are a lot of people in the House of Representatives. There are a lot of

02:35criticisms regarding the process. How are you going to approach this job, especially

02:39in the House of Representatives?

02:41What I intend to do is to just deliver truthful statements as much as possible,

02:49mas maintindihan, hindi lang ng mga kaibigan natin sa media, kundi mga mamamayan din

02:54mismo, mahimayin natin ang mga impormasyon na mas maiintindihan ng tao kung ano itong

03:01mga pulisiya na sinusulong ng kongreso at para saan at bakit, at bakit nakakabuti

03:07ito sa mamamayan at sa buong bansa.

03:36I don't understand yung patulera na spokesperson. I understand na we need to have an effective

03:43communicator and that's what I intend to do with the help of all of you, of course.

03:47So doon sa filing ng impeachment, complaint against VP Sara Duterte, how would this affect

03:52po yung ating, una, your reaction, and how would this affect po ang ating preparations

03:56for the trial?

03:57Siguro kung meron tayo natutunan ngayong eleksyon ay hindi naging tugma ang mga

04:04naging datos ng mga survey prior to election. So sa actual na resulta, may mga nakita tayong

04:13consistent na nasa winning circle sa surveys all throughout the campaign period na hindi

04:19natin nakita nagtagumpay. Meron mga surprise victors na hindi rin lumalabas sa mga

04:26surveys. So I would be very careful in reading too much right now on the surveys. We need

04:32to understand not just ano yung pakiramdam ng mamamayan ayon sa survey pero mas kailangan

04:38bumaba tayo sa tao para mas maintindihan ano yung talagang totoong pangangailangan nila,

04:43hindi lang ayon sa mga samples ng data na nakukuha natin.
