00:00That's the problem. I think that's the total opposite.
00:02We all assume that it's just gonna crank because it's Chris.
00:07Yes.
00:09And that hasn't happened.
00:17Dom reached out to me and he's like,
00:18hey man, what do you think about starting a company that's focused on health supplements?
00:21We were looking for that one athlete to represent the brand, you know,
00:24and Dom came to me, he's like, man, if you could pick one person, who would it be?
00:27I was like, Chris.
00:28Chris Upstead.
00:31Friends with Matt, I decided that I would try it out.
00:33They saw the potential that I could help them.
00:35So they were like, how about you came on as an owner?
00:37We didn't just want him as an athlete, but we wanted him as a partner.
00:40We'll be equal partners in this thing and we'll build it our way.
00:43And we put all our brains together, we'll create a cool company.
00:45I don't think anyone expected what was gonna happen.
00:50The reason I didn't start Bum Company was because I wanted something outside of myself.
00:54So that's why we started Raw.
00:55Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Ferrari, those are all like that
00:58because of their specialty, they're dope brands.
01:00Raw being like the necessities is what you need.
01:02If everything was that way, Ferrari would be a Honda.
01:05Nike is still worth more than Jordan.
01:07Of course.
01:07But Jordan's cooler to a lot of people.
01:09And a lot of people aren't gonna spend $60 on a pre-workout that will spend $45 or $34.
01:12They'll spend $80 on the Air Forces instead of on Jordan 1's.
01:14You need those two things.
01:16People compare his success to Arnold's.
01:18He's a celebrity at this point.
01:20It's not bodybuilding celebrity, it's, I mean, he's the real deal.
01:23People are coming to me and telling me, like, when you win, we do this.
01:25I'm like, whoa, whoa, easy.
01:27Like, I haven't won yet.
01:29The pressure of this moment is something I've worked very hard for.
01:32Having this platform to coach these guys and be considered one of the best coaches in the world,
01:37that's something that I hold very dear to my heart.
01:38I knew he didn't want to coach forever.
01:40I know how stressful that is.
01:41I can only imagine how stressful it can be.
01:43I know Dom doesn't spend the amount of time with his wife that he wants.
01:46I've missed a lot.
01:47I don't spend the amount of time with my kids that I want.
01:50We all sacrifice a ton.
01:51I'm just giving my opinion.
01:52Yeah, I could be 100% wrong.
01:55At one point, Chris is going to retire.
01:57He's not going to compete.
01:58You can't bodybuild forever.
02:01I don't have this work pressure.
02:02It's personal pressure.
02:06It's the largest thing I've ever done.
02:09They kind of assume that he's the typical athlete.
02:13He's here. Chris is here.
02:14Chris comes to the office, like, every day.
02:16As I get closer to Chris, I understand, like, what these things mean to him.
02:19I don't think it's normal by any means.
02:46All again.
02:48Bye.
02:48Bye.
02:50Bye.
