00:00The message from people is clear that the cumulative impact of a number of rain events
00:07over the last few months has absolutely taken its toll.
00:11We've got local businesses and particularly primary producers that have been hit really
00:16hard, obviously a number of damage assessments that have been undertaken and still many
00:22to be undertaken, so we'll get a clearer picture of the overall cost and the overall
00:28damage right across this region as the New South Wales SES completes those assessments.
00:33The focus today is obviously speaking with some primary producers, small businesses and
00:38community members that have been directly impacted.
00:41We've enacted a range of supports as requested by the New South Wales Government, including
00:46ADF search and rescue capability, as well as a range of the disaster recovery funding arrangements
00:52with New South Wales to 19 local government areas.
00:55We've enacted that disaster recovery allowance, which is income support for people whose
01:00employment's been directly impacted for four local government areas, and we've now got
01:07ADF personnel and Disaster Relief Australia personnel that will be on the ground, ramping up to
01:14over 170 people by the end of the week to assist with clean-up, route clearance, welfare checks,
01:22those types of things to assist community as the days go by.
01:27Thank you so much.
01:37That's encouraged to go through.
