00:00They could spend hours just playing.
00:04When I pick up Otto from kindergarten, he will sit on our roof
00:08and make sure that Otto is home.
00:15They have a special barn.
00:18When we go inside, he will sit outside the window
00:22because he wants Otto to go outside with him.
00:25If we open up our window, he will go and sit on the couch
00:31watching TV with Otto.
00:38Even though Russell and Otto are really great friends,
00:41I never leave them unsupervised.
00:46Russell is a wild bird. He's not around all the time.
00:49But when Otto is outside, he will never leave Otto's side.
00:55Before Russell, I didn't know that crows could be affectionate.
01:04My boyfriend was out working and this little crow came up to him.
01:10He was really thin.
01:12We tried to call a wildlife rehabilitator,
01:15but there wasn't any nearby who was able to take him in.
01:18So he decided to take him home, nurse him back to health.
01:21Once we nursed Russell back to health and he could fly wherever he wanted,
01:27he still decided to stay near our house and he visits us every day.
01:33Russell is a big part of our family now.
01:38Living with Russell Meester is never a dull moment in our life.
01:44He allows us to interact with nature in a way that most people are not able to.
01:51We're his flock.
01:53He wants us to interact with many more.
01:59Imagine his girlfriend now...
