00:00the river was crazy that day to see she was in trouble her head was dipping below the water she
00:04was frantic i grabbed the paddle jumped in the water and that river took all the strength i had
00:10just to swim she was already terrified and she was already drowning and so by the time i got to her
00:16her head drops under the surface of the water and i lift her up on the paddle and she looked at me
00:22and there was so much shock on her face she was like what are you
00:26and i get next to her again and i lift her up on the paddle and she's just scared of me
00:32and i tried talking to her she really looked me straight in the eyes and she said what did you
00:39say and i went no it's okay and then i lifted her up and then you could tell her tail and her arms
00:48and she went oh i can hang on this
00:49and then i got her to the side of the river and she jumped off she ran off into the jungle
01:00i work with indigenous leaders in the amazon rainforest
01:14and we're protecting 110 000 acres of this pristine river in the headwaters of the amazon
01:21rainforest it's really inspiring over the last few years seeing that jungle keepers has become
01:25almost a global movement people all over the world helping us and supporting the local indigenous
01:30leaders who are fighting to protect these millions and millions of heartbeats from all
01:34over the world helping us and we all have to be proud of these different animals that live in this jungle
