Kent day is celebrated on May 26th every year, which is the feast day of Saint Augustine - the first Archbishop of Canterbury and Patron Saint of the county.

But while we're always celebrating Kent here on KMTV, what does the county mean to those that here?

We went to Rochester to find out...

00:00To me it means someone to come back to, to relax for a little bit and just to take it a bit easy, to get a bit of weight off.
00:11Kent is my hometown, it was where I was born, it was where I grew up, it's where my heritage is, it's where my mum and dad are and a lot of history too.

00:32I don't think it's a great area to live in but obviously I come from here and all my family are down here so it's like where I spend most of my time.
00:39I guess it's quite like historic kind of seaside towns and yeah, quaint towns I guess, you know, a bit like artsy, depends kind of where you go.
00:47Well I've lived in Rochester and Medway towns all my life and I think Kent has got a lot of history and it's a nice county to live in.
00:55You've got the coast and you're not too far from London so yes, nicely located.
