00:26Sa pagbubukas ng 46 ASEAN Summit sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,

00:33muling isinulong ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:36ang kapayapaan sa usapin ng territorial disputes.

00:39Sa kanyang intervention sa plenary session ng summit,

00:42ipinunto niya ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng Code of Conduct sa South China Sea.

00:46Magiging gabay ang COC sa maayos ng pakikipag-ugnayan ng mga bansa

00:50para maiwasan ang gulo sa teritoryo.

00:52Una ng iginiit ng Pilipinas na dapat ito ay nakabatay sa international law

00:56at naka-angkla sa United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea o UNCLOS.

01:01We underscore the urgent need to accelerate the adoption

01:03of a legally binding Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.

01:08This to safeguard maritime rights, promote stability, and prevent miscalculations at sea.

01:14Suportado naman ng Pangulo ang pagsisulong ng ASEAN member states

01:17ng diplomasya sa harap ng tariff policy ng US.

01:20We commend Malaysia's leadership in convening the Special ASEAN Economic Minister's Meeting

01:26and welcome the consensus to avoid retaliatory measures.

01:30This measured and unified approach upholds ASEAN's commitment to dialogue,

01:35diplomacy, and a rules-based multilateral trading system.

01:39Ibinahagi naman ni Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim

01:42na nagsagawa na ng hakbang ang mga bansang kasapi ng ASEAN sa naturang issue.

01:46I have taken the liberty also to write to President Donald J. Trump

01:51to seek his understanding to organize a US-ASEAN meeting,

02:00which means we observe seriously the spirit of centrality.

02:05It speaks not only to our aspirations but to our obligations.

02:09Sinuguro rin ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang commitment ng bansa

02:12sa paghahanap ng kailangang solusyon patungkol sa climate change,

02:15gate ng punong ehekutibo na bilang host ng Loss and Damage Fund Board,

02:19ipagpapatuloyan niya ng Pilipinas ang pagtataguyod para sa siyentipiko

02:23at batay sa ebidensyang mga solusyon sa pagtugon sa krisis ukol sa klima.

02:28In this regard, we urge ASEAN's partners to scale up predictable and accessible

02:33and adequate climate finance to enable ASEAN to realize its climate ambitions

02:38and safeguard the future of our communities.
