The Liberal party is soul searching after its historic election loss.  Tonight, Four Corners talks to Liberal insiders as they grapple with what the party stands for and who it represents.

00:32We offended public servants.

00:35We offended multicultural communities.

00:37We insulted people who live in the inner cities.

00:40It was almost as if we were running out of new people to offend.

00:43Australians actually said, we've been trying to tell you and you're not listening.

00:47So now we need to send you a very, very strong message.
