00:00We were kayaking in the Ozarks when we spotted this strange box.
00:03Oh, it's moving. It's moving.
00:05What is that?
00:08I think I see a head. It might be a turtle.
00:11Okay, so he's too big to fit through that opening,
00:14which means he must have gotten in when the water was still high, and now he's stuck.
00:18As a dodo producer, I've worked on many turtle videos,
00:21so I knew that turtles need to be in water to survive through the winter.
00:25We tried tipping the box over, but it was way too heavy and very stuck in the mud.
00:29We didn't know if there were hooks or what else could be in there,
00:33so we ended up using our paddles.
00:37Hi!
00:37Hi, you!
00:39Do I have an idea?
00:40As we worked out a plan on where to place them, we realized he wasn't alone.
00:46There's two.
00:47I think more than...
00:48I think I wanted to.
00:51We're a happy buddy.
00:52Oh, you're looking beautiful!
00:59Oh, hi!
01:01Okay, I understand.
01:03I understand.
01:04You're swimming.
01:04You're swimming.
01:08Is there somebody else in there?
01:10We found a third one and a fourth.
01:13There's so many.
01:14It was amazing to see that they all instinctively knew to go straight back into the lake.
01:30Slowly, but surely.
