00:00Be very generous with your lip balm.
00:02So generous that if you have leftovers, you can put it on your elbow.
00:07And that's a tip. That's an elbow tip.
00:17Today is the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
00:22And I am getting ready for the red carpet of the closing ceremony.
00:26This is my first time at the Cannes Film Festival.
00:30I am, of course, always excited, a bunch of nerves.
00:34I truly thrive in this sort of chaos.
00:37It's a bit strange. I don't know why.
00:38But like the chaos always tends to find us.
00:41A couple of minutes ago, we had no electricity for the last four hours.
00:47So, Amit over here was actually taking my hair extensions and he put it on a tong
00:52and he put it out in the sun so that it could heat up
00:55because we had no electricity.
00:57We figured it out as we're going.
00:58But now we're very grateful and thankful that the electricity is back.
01:04Do I feel like I blend into any of these big sort of international red carpet events?
01:10If you knew who I was, personally, I'm a combination of shy and outgoing.
01:14Like I have my days where I can be like totally working it.
01:17Literally within seconds, I'll be like, shut the door.
01:20Nobody look at me. I'm like hiding under the covers.
01:22So, I'm a true Piscean in that sense where no emotion is constant.
01:26Everything just keeps changing.
01:27I think I'm still like finding my calm on the red carpet.
01:31You know, there is a certain overwhelming energy,
01:34especially when there's like so many photographers like here,
01:36look here, look over the shoulder, this down, up, wave, you know, smile.
01:40Yesterday, somebody was saying, do something with your hands.
01:42And I was like, I'm not sure what I should do with my hands.
01:44So, what did you do?
01:45I did namaste.
01:48That just comes very naturally to me.
01:51My team, Puneet, who has been with me for 12, 11, 10 years now.
02:00Like too long.
02:01Amit, who I've also actually known since the beginning of my career.
02:06And who I've attacked and not let him leave for the last two, two and a half years.
02:12That's Rhea.
02:13Hi.
02:16Hello.
02:17So, Rhea is the one and only stylist who can make me do things that I will never do.
02:24Because she just has this like very persuasive, gentle, but very clear tone.
02:33So, it's like, if she's envisioning it, it's just got to happen.
02:37So, that's why everybody loves it when I work with Rhea.
02:40Because they're like, okay, at least you won't like boss us around
02:43and tell us exactly what to do, which is the same thing again and again.
02:46For me, the people that I surround myself with, it's really important, I think,
02:50for anybody to just be surrounded by the people that they feel very comfortable with
02:54and then they trust deeply, especially in a creative field like ours.
02:58We literally spend all our time together.
03:00So, it's very important that we like each other.
03:02Otherwise, things can get awkward.
03:09This is a custom beautiful outfit for Alia.
03:14It's actually the House of Gucci steak on a traditional Indian saree.
03:17It's got the signature Gucci Gigi monogram, which I mean, I think it looks so beautiful on a saree.
03:23They created this very sexy, very minimal silhouette and then added this really dramatic drape,
03:28which I thought was really smart, a really modern way to interpret it.
03:32I think it takes that like signature Italian glamour and mixes it with Indian exuberance
03:37and creates something really special.
03:40I'm done with quiet luxury. It's over for me. Bye.
03:42No, I'm just kidding.
03:43I just think that there are times where you whisper and there are times where you scream with joy.
03:49And I think this is one of those times.
03:51It's Alia's debut at Cannes.
03:53She's the first ever Indian Gucci brand ambassador.
03:56And I think to just celebrate those two worlds coming together,
03:59what could be a better moment than the closing ceremony at Cannes?
04:02This, it's a custom little mini Jackie.
04:04In India, usually when we wear a saree, we'd wear like a traditional bag like a portly,
04:08and it's usually really small.
04:10And I just feel so proud to be able to put like a piece of my culture into this huge moment.
04:18Okay, Vogue, so I'm about 90% ready.
04:21I'm going to go change and then we do final touches and then we're fully ready.
04:38Okay, thank you Vogue. That was us on last looks and now we're going to hit the red carpet.
04:55Our theme is part of the Caitlin on the corner of the world.
04:57Bye!
05:08Happy transfer.
