William Byron WINS after Stage 2 penalty | 2025 Xfinity Series at Charlotte

00:00And finally gets one at its home racetrack here at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

00:06Had the tire advantage there at the end, but this race car was on rails all day.

00:10Well, when you had that penalty and had to go all the way to the back,

00:14how confident were you that you were going to be able to drive this thing back to the front

00:18and ultimately end up here at the end of the day?

00:21I was somewhat confident.

00:24I felt like if we got some yellows, it would be good,

00:27but, man, it didn't work out the way we thought it did.

00:30So just had a lot of green flag running and couldn't really get back to the front.

00:35But, man, it feels awesome to win.

00:38It's my home track.

00:40God, it feels really good.

00:41Restart merchant there at the end.

00:43So it's fun to be back in victory lane.

00:44I feel like I haven't won in a while.

00:46So I just appreciate all these guys.

00:55You did have a tire advantage on Allgaier there at the end,

00:57but not necessarily over the other guys around you,

00:59but how did you use those restarts and kind of size everybody up there

01:03on the multiple attempts to ultimately get what you needed?

01:06Yeah, I just needed, I feel like, to get to the front couple rows, I guess.

01:09And I wasn't able to get there until the last one.

01:12I was able to – Justin got a good restart.

01:14I was able to push him and get clear of the 88

01:16and then had some clean air on the nose.

01:19So, yeah, just kind of a crazy end of the race.
