Why is it important to have more women in CEO roles?

In honor of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women List launch, we asked New Yorkers why it is important to have more women in CEO roles.

00:00Men, we are not totally aware of the challenges that women in the industry face.

00:05Why is it important to have more women in CEO roles?

00:08Well, that assumes that I do. I believe anybody who's qualified should be in the CEO role.

00:13It's important so they can be an example for younger women or even men.

00:17It'll give more women a chance to look up to somebody.

00:21Because there's not many women in CEO roles.

00:23For equality, for sure.

00:24Because I feel like it could break the barrier we have.

00:26Because this is a man's world. And I think that it's time for us to change that a little bit.

00:32I think it's really important because of representation.

00:34I am a woman myself and I couldn't name a CEO that's a woman.

00:38Everybody should have a fair opportunity. It's important to have that representation as well.

00:42I feel like, why not? I feel like women do win the world.
