00:00First of all, how big of a deal is this prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine?
00:06A thousand detainees each is no small number.
00:09It is an impressive number. It is the largest of the multiple prisoner exchanges that have taken place now into the fourth year of the Russian-Ukraine war.
00:20The fact that it was an item on the agenda for the meeting in Istanbul demonstrates that the Russians and the Ukrainians can sit in a room.
00:34They can agree on a particular issue. They can formulate a solution to the issue.
00:39They can implement the issue or implement the solution.
00:42So it is a big day, particularly when you look at it from the human side of it, which is, let's say those thousand people on each side, that they have families and immediate families and extended families.
00:57Let's say there may be five or ten people preach.
01:00So today, 5,000 to 10,000 people are feeling better than they did yesterday.
01:06So that's a good thing.
