During a press conference in the Oval Office, President Trump was interrupted twice by phone calls from Congress members, which he promptly sent to voicemail. Trump announced plans to impose 50% tariffs on European Union products, citing stalled trade talks. He hinted the tariffs could target major tech companies like Apple and Samsung, potentially starting in late June. While Trump expressed hope for a fair deal, his aggressive rhetoric signals mounting U.S.-EU trade tensions, drawing close attention from markets and global tech firms.

00:00Frankly, we're much better off getting them elsewhere, but for certain products, we want cars.
00:05We want to make cars. We don't want to have, and I like Canada very much,
00:08but we don't want to have Canada making our cars. We want to make our cars.
00:12Oh, it's a phone call. Do you mind? Hello?
00:15Okay, it's only a congressman.
00:21I'd let you know, actually.
00:23Mr. President, are you considering stopping other universities from taking foreign students?
00:28Well, it's a different congressman. They're all congratulating us.
00:36Yeah, it's lucky it is. Okay, let's go.
00:39It's a very special, we're doing a very special thing.
00:43We want, if they're going to sell it here, generally speaking, not for all products.
00:46There's some products we don't want to make, and frankly, we're much better off getting them elsewhere.
00:51But for certain products, we want cars. We want to make cars.
00:54We don't want to have, and I like Canada very much, but we don't want to have Canada making our cars.
00:58We want to make our cars.
01:00Oh, it's a phone call. Do you mind? Hello?
01:03Okay, it's only a congressman.
01:10I'd let you know, actually.
01:11Mr. President, are you considering stopping other universities from taking foreign students?
01:16It's a different congressman. They're all congratulating us.
01:24Yeah, it's lucky it is.
01:26Okay, let's go.
01:28Are you considering stopping other universities besides Harvard from accepting foreign students?
01:32Well, we're taking a look at a lot of things.
01:33And as you know, billions of dollars has been paid to Harvard.
01:39How ridiculous is that? Billions.
01:41And they have $52 billion as an endowment. They have $52 billion.
01:46And this country is paying billions and billions of dollars and then gives student loans,
01:52and they have to pay back the loans.
01:53So Harvard's going to have to change its ways.
01:56And so are some others.
01:58On that note, a lot of CEOs in the United States, big companies, are for it.
02:06What is that going to do to you?
02:08I'm fine with that.
02:09No, we want to do that.
02:12We're actually going to be doing something in the near future that's going to make it possible
02:16for people to come into this country and come in and, you know, have a road toward citizenship.
02:22And I think it'll be very exciting, but it's too soon to speak.
02:24You don't want to not want the best and brightest from around the world to come to Harvard.
02:30I do, but a lot of the people need remedial math.
02:33Did you see that?
02:35Where the students can't add two and two and they go to Harvard.
02:39They want remedial math, and they're going to teach remedial math at Harvard.
02:45Now, wait a minute.
02:45So why would they get in?
02:47How can somebody that can't add or has very basic skills, how do they get into Harvard?
02:53Why are they there?
02:53And then you see those same people picketing and screaming at the United States
02:58and screaming at, you know, they're anti-Semitic or they're something.
03:01We don't want troublemakers here.
03:05But how do people that can't, when Harvard comes out with a statement
03:08that they're going to teach some of their students remedial math, that's basic math,
03:13that's not the deal.
03:15Okay.
