At a "Make America Healthy Again" Commission Event on Thursday, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) spoke about the MAHA movement.

00:00I have to say we have the greatest farmers in the world and we love our
00:05farmers and we want to pay respect to our farmers and we always will and we
00:10won the farmers by a lot in the election and or every election all
00:13three elections and we won by a lot and I will never forget that and they are
00:19foremost in our thought and representing I think the farmers better than just
00:24about anybody can do is Senator Roger Marshall could you say a couple of
00:27words Roger please mr. president we're not tired of winning yet
00:32congratulations what what a week you've had overseas one win after another one
00:38big beautiful bill across the house floor this morning you're the best closer in
00:42the game and and this is one of the greatest days of my life professionally
00:46speaking as as well and I just want to know it's my ma-ha mom out here as well
00:51that my wife Lena was a ma-ha nurse and a ma-ha mom and a ma-ha grandma now Lena
00:56will you please stand up as well my wife
01:03mr. president you know I spent 25 years delivering babies most every day we saw a
01:08huge epidemic of diabetes of pregnancy and and this has exploded in so many
01:14different directions now we have an epidemic of in mental health in our on
01:19our youth obesity rates 20 30 percent 20 percent of our children on a
01:23prescription drug 60 70 percent of adults on our prescription drug we can do
01:27better than this and it does start with the farmer it starts with with soil health
01:32and I just want to know that our farmers are so committed to this as well and and
01:36so many of them are already doing great things they're making the soil
01:40soil healthier they're using less pesticides they're doing all the right
01:44things it's going to take a little bit more effort and time to get everybody
01:47with those practices but the American farmer and rancher were the original
01:51environmentalists the original conservationists and they'll be right
01:55here working beside us and we appreciate your support of them as well
