State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked about the Trump Administration and the Department of Homeland Security's decision to restrict Harvard's ability to provide student visas.
00:00Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says that DHS is now terminating Harvard's ability to allow any foreign students to enroll in the university, saying in a statement that the administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, anti-Semitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party.
00:24This is obviously a program that isn't run out of the State Department, but some of these J-1 visas are issued by the State Department.
00:33So can you shed some light on this decision by the administration?
00:37We've seen those reports, and we're looking at them, and I can't answer that immediately, but as soon as we might have an answer, I can get it to you.
00:47I'm sure that when we get our answer, we'll get it to everybody.
00:49But, yeah, so I've seen those reports, and I would also refer you, of course, to DHS and to Secretary Noem, who might have more details, more answers for you.
