Eight years ago, in the early hours of June 14, 2017, Grenfell Tower in West London was engulfed by flames, resulting in the deaths of 72 people and leaving many more injured and displaced. The fire revealed devastating cracks in how fire safety was managed, the prioritisation of profits over people, and the catastrophic consequences of systemic neglect. On June 20, Netflix will release Grenfell: Uncovered, a powerful new documentary from Rogan Productions that tells the story of the Grenfell Tower fire through the voices of those most affected - the survivors, the bereaved, and the firefighters. The trailer, released alongside the premiere announcement, lays bare the disturbing series of warnings and failings that led to one of Britain’s most tragic peacetime disasters.
