00:32Two birthdays and

00:33one opportunity for Trump's long-held

00:36desire to stage a military

00:38parade in the streets of Washington.

00:40Trump caught the parade bug

00:41during his first term, when

00:43French President Emmanuel Macron

00:45invited him to the traditional Bastille Day

00:48parade in Paris in 2017.

00:51Now Trump

00:52wants a big one himself.

00:54For himself.

00:56According to official planning documents,

00:58the twin celebration includes

00:59almost 7,000 soldiers,

01:02more than 120 military vehicles,

01:0525 Abrams tanks,

01:06and 50 helicopters.

01:09Now experts are worried

01:10that these tanks will tear up the streets

01:12and damage bridges.

01:14Washington's infrastructure is not

01:15designed to support heavy military

01:17stuff, they say.

01:19And the mayor of the District of Columbia

01:21didn't outright reject the parade,

01:23but she said,

01:25if military tanks were used,

01:27they should be accompanied

01:30to repair the roads.
