00:23struggles. Did you know? Turtles are the most endangered vertebrates on Earth,

00:27129 of 300 species face extinction. Threats include habitat loss, plastic pollution,

00:34illegal trade, and climate change. Turtles play a vital role in ecosystems,

00:39cleaning oceans, dispersing seeds, and shaping habitats. Rehabilitation centers like the

00:44Wildlife Center of Virginia care for thousands of injured turtles each year. In 2025, one would

00:50turtle return to the wild after surviving amputation and shell fractures. Want to help?

00:55Slow down for turtles on roads, move them in the direction they're heading. Never relocate wild
