‘When it reaches heart...’: Actor Anupam Kher on grand premier of ‘Tanvi the great’ at Cannes 2025

London (UK), May 23, 2025 (ANI):  On the grand premiere of his movie 'Tanvi The Great' at Cannes 2025, actor Anupam Kher, who is the director of the movie, expressed gratitude toward international audiences at Cannes.

00:02We had an amazing response from the international audiences from Cairns.

00:09And yesterday in London, it was phenomenal.

00:13You see, when you make a film, which is from your heart, and I'm not a traditionally a

00:20director, I'm primarily an actor, but the story inspired me or when it reaches the heart

00:28of the people, it's very gratifying.

00:30The kind of comments we got in Cairns and in London yesterday is fantastic.

00:36I wanted to make a film from India for the world.

00:40And I think that aim I have managed to sort of achieve because it's a universal subject.

00:48It's a subject which all of us deal with in some way or the other, but maybe ignore it

00:55because we think that it's somebody else's problem.

00:59And the whole thing is said with a certain amount of entertainment.

01:06To me, autism is super power.

01:10the story of Tanvi is that and I was very overwhelmed by the reaction of people.

01:19People were clapping in between because there are no macho heroes who sort of are beating

01:2612 people and the audience claps.

01:29They were clapping because the thought of the film was resonating with them.

01:36And they were crying, they were laughing at the end of the film.

01:40They didn't want to go, they were asking questions.

01:43So it's a beautiful feeling.
