00:00Olaf, last year you waited for stage 9 to win a stage.
00:04This year it's in the second half of the Giro.
00:07Your last win was at Tireno Adriatico. Is it a relief?
00:10Yeah, I mean, it is. We were waiting for this one.
00:15I was waiting. I mean, we grew into the race also as a team,
00:20with Simon being in a good position without taking that stage win.
00:25And then the other two sprints didn't all went right,
00:31so I'm really happy that today we could do it.
00:35You have just watched the replay.
00:37Do you think Wout van Aert won a prize today for the longest lead-out?
00:42Yeah, I think so. Only he can do it.
00:45To have him support here is extraordinary.
00:50I really need to thank him and also the rest of the team.
00:54They did a fantastic job, so thanks to them.
00:58Is it because of the last curve that you had to be ahead early?
01:02Sorry?
01:03You had to be ahead quite early. Is it because there was a curve in the last kilometer?
01:08Yeah, for sure you don't want to be too far in that corner.
01:11So yeah, that's why we maybe also had to go a bit earlier than we wanted.
01:15But yeah, I could jump on the wheel of Kasper and then pass him.
01:21You passed Kasper, but Kasper beat you last week.
01:24Have you been afraid to lose again?
01:26I mean, there's a lot of good competition, so yeah, you need to beat them all.
01:31And that's what we did today.
01:33Angry for more?
01:34Yeah, of course. I mean, yeah, we try to raise our best every day and aim for wins and go GC with Simon.
01:43So yeah, we're definitely not done yet.
01:45Proficial.
01:47Isak, congratulations. You have extended your lead in a stage that was made for sprinters.
01:54Tell us how it happened in the Red Bull Kilometer.
01:57Honestly, I was expecting like the breakout will take all the seconds and we manage a sprint stage fully.
02:06But yes, at the end, the group was a little bit nervous and hectic for the wind.
02:12Not enough to make crosswinds, but everybody wants to be in the front.
02:16And you know this situation of the race.
02:19And I think they managed to come back to the sprint and everybody wants to be there.
02:23Not every GC rider.
02:24And at the end, in the corners, we managed to pass with the team.
02:29Thanks to the team, I can be able to do the sprint.
02:32And at the end, I didn't win the sprint in the group, but I managed to finish third and take some seconds.
02:40Many people discover you in the Giro, but tell us how did you get the speed?
02:46How did you become a bit of a sprinter as well, not only a climber?
02:50To be honest, I don't know.
02:53They just come. I did my first sprints this year and one month ago.
02:58I don't do this often, but I just, when I'm in this situation, I just don't want to do it.
03:06But no, I just want to be smart and do it one time and sometimes works and now it's working for me.
03:12But I don't think I'm a sprinter. I'm just, I'm there.
03:17What can you tell us about this sprint and maybe the long lead-out by Ward Van Aert?
03:23I can't tell you too much about his lead-out. You know, I was not with his legs or anything.
03:30So, in the end, they did a perfect job. Koi won the race and that's what they wanted.
03:34And yeah, it's hard to do these finals with such a long straight and then just one corner.
03:42But in the end, I'm quite happy with the result.
03:45Were you making your moves with the points of the points classification in mind?
03:50Yeah, of course. I tried to get as many points as possible.
03:54So, everything I do to get points is with Ciclamino in mind.
03:57Did you get your two easiest points in one intermediate sprint today?
04:02Maybe, yes.
