00:00Let's talk about Syria's economy because right now it hasn't been in a stable state and that is something that the world wants to see shift for the better of the Syrian people.
00:12What sectors of the economy in Syria will actually improve once these sanctions are lifted? Is it on banking? What are the main things that it's focused on?
00:25Actually, you pointed on the right sector, which is the financial. What we need right now, we need just that sanction to be lifted on the central bank itself because without just having the swift active on the network of the banking, there will be no money just entering into the financial system in Syria.
00:49And that can just slow down the economic cycle and that will not have any kind of we're not going to see witness any like improvement, economic improvement on the ground.
00:59Yes. So that's the main reason. So the first action should be taken right now.
01:04Lift the sanction or then swift. OK. Once we lift the sanction, the swift, then the other banks, the central banks.
01:10And even if we are talking about, you know, like how they will finance the reconstruction.
01:18So you need also a swift because people, I mean, other countries or the IMF or the World Bank, OK, they need to send you money. Right.
01:26So they need to send you money to the central bank. How they will send you the money.
01:29They will not just carry in cash when they send you the money. They have to have a you have to have a swift. OK.
01:33OK.
