00:00The Ambassador also said that there haven't been formal talks on the Golden Dome.
00:05Should Canada take part in that project, and how much would you be willing to spend on that?
00:10Okay, well, I'm not going to put a price tag on the second part of your question.
00:15I think I'll say the following about the situation with air defense or ballistic missile defense,
00:23intercontinental ballistic missile defense, broader defense against, including potential missiles
00:30that in the not-too-distant future could come from space.
00:35I mean, these are some of the threats that our nation faces.
00:39We take those threats seriously.
00:41We take our responsibilities as a government seriously, as I just said.
00:45It's one of the reasons why we made the commitment back in March for the over-the-horizon radar,
00:50the first phase of the over-horizon radar.
00:52system, and that was an independent decision that we took.
00:57We are conscious that we have an ability, if we so choose, to complete the Golden Dome
01:06with investments and partnership, and it's something that we are looking at
01:12and something that has been discussed at a high level, but I'm not sure one negotiates on this.
01:19These are military decisions.
01:22They say that they have teams that are very intense.
01:28They give us some kind of an idea of how different things they use to deploy forward to landing with,
01:31So, of course, this is trainingéš's avons, and the initialatsu training will be able to explore.
