00:00Opposition leader Hamza Zainuddin has unveiled Perikatan National's vision of a new national consensus to overcome existing political and societal divisions and drive Malaysia's future prosperity.
00:15The PN Deputy Chairman said the consensus must transcend race, religion, and region, uniting the political class, religious leaders, civil society, and above all, the rakyat.
00:27He outlined three cornerstones for this vision, a common goal, shared prosperity, and compassionate governance.
00:33He emphasized that Malaysia must move beyond political survival, reject revenge politics, and revive a spirit of shared nationhood.
00:42Hamza also addressed PN's exit from the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which came to power in 2018, attributing the collapse of the PH-like government to internal conflict and mistrust.
00:53He said the PN-like government that took over in 2020 led the country admirably, citing an 8.7% GDP growth, the highest in ASEAN.
01:03Hamza said PN, which won 74 parliamentary seats in GE15 in 2022, has since been consistently outperforming its rivals at the polls.
01:13He also set his coalition won 146 of 245 state seats on offer at the six state elections the following year, forming the government in Perlis, Cadah, Clantan, and Terengganu, and making remarkable inroads into Penang, Salangor, and Negeri Sambilan.
