A group of Tottenham fans have been branded 'classless and pathetic' on social media after they were seen pouring beer over Manchester United supporters ahead of Wednesday's Europa League final in Bilbao.

The two Premier League clubs are gearing up to face off in one of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the season, with both a European trophy and Champions League football on the line for whoever triumphs in northern Spain.

Amid the brimming excitement and anticipation outside the San Mames stadium, a group of Spurs fans have been labelled 'bullies' for their behaviour towards Manchester United supporters.

In footage shared to social media on Wednesday morning, two Red Devils fans —each wearing Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic No. 7 shirt on their backs — were drenched in beer and taunted on the streets of Bilbao by at least five rival supporters.

Chants were directed at the Manchester United fans as they walked through the streets ahead of the game.

Fans online were quick to criticise the perpetrators after the video was shared on social media.

'Classic Spurs this, wouldn't expect anything else,' one supporter posted on X.

A second said: 'Once again, giving Brits a bad name abroad.'

Another chimed in and said: 'Uncultured and ill-mannered fans from London'.

'Pathetic' and 'classless' were adjectives also used by online accounts to describe the supporters who threw beer at the Red Devils fans.

'Bullies. No need,' a disappointing supporter agreed.

'Scummy behaviour,' another said.

One fan replied with a tongue-in-cheek comment about Tottenham's struggles to win silverware of late.

'Makes sense considering they don't know how to handle a cup,' the Manchester United fan account said.
