00:00I found a camera in the forest, the last video was terrifying I was hiking alone deep in the
00:05northern woods, far from the nearest trail, chasing silence and solitude. The forest had
00:11a quiet, eerie stillness about it, as if the trees themselves were holding their breath.
00:17It was late afternoon when I noticed something odd beneath a blanket of moss and leaves.
00:22At first glance, it looked like nothing more than a clump of dirt and broken branches,
00:27but a glint of black plastic caught my eye. I knelt down and uncovered it. It was a digital camera,
00:35half-buried, weathered by time, but surprisingly intact. Curiosity overrode caution. I brushed off
00:43the dirt and stuffed it into my backpack, deciding to check it out back at my cabin. That evening,
00:50under dim yellow light, I connected it to my laptop. The battery was dead, but the SD card was still
00:57inside. There were only four videos. The first showed a group of five friends, early 20s, laughing,
01:05joking, clearly out on an adventure. They were hiking through the same stretch of forest I had
01:11been exploring. It looked like the footage was taken about two years ago. Their excitement was contagious,
01:19the way they documented every step, every strange tree, every animal track. The second video felt
01:26different. It was darker, literally. The footage was jittery, taken at night. The friends had set up
01:34camp and were telling ghost stories around a fire. Suddenly, a loud crack echoed from the trees behind
01:41them. They laughed it off, assuming it was a deer or maybe the wind. But the camera caught something they
01:48didn't, a brief movement in the shadows. Something tall. Humanoid. Watching. The third video was chaos.
01:59The camera was running, seemingly dropped on the ground, tilted at an awkward angle. There were
02:05screams, one of the friends yelling something about someone going missing. Branches snapping. Flashlights
02:13flickering. A girl sobbing. Then the screen cut to black. Heart pounding, I opened the final video.
02:22This one chilled me to the bone. The camera was being carried again, but shakily. It was daytime,
02:30maybe the next morning. Only one person was left, a guy named Mark, judging by the earlier footage.
02:36He was alone, disheveled, whispering frantically into the lens. Something's out here. It's not human.
02:45It knows we're here. It took them. One by one. He paused, eyes wide with terror. If anyone finds this,
02:54don't go deeper. Don't follow the trail of stones. That's how it finds you. That's how it follows.
03:01The last few seconds were unbearable to watch. Mark turned the camera around slowly, breathing heavily.
03:10Behind him, just at the edge of the trees, stood a figure. It wasn't moving. Its limbs were too long,
03:18its head tilted unnaturally. The footage ended with the sound of Mark gasping and running,
03:24the camera swinging wildly, then a sharp thud and silence. I haven't gone back into that part of the
03:30forest. I don't think I ever will. Sometimes, though, late at night, I review that last video
03:38frame by frame, wondering if the thing in the trees saw the camera drop, and if it knows someone else
03:44has seen it now.
