00:00I've been asked to talk about the stigma of social housing and as a matter of fact it's
00:09a running joke in my family that my mother was brought up in a council house and the
00:14ribbon we've given her over the years is unbelievable because my dad was posh you see
00:17because he was brought up in a private home. Now there's nothing wrong with council houses
00:23or housing associations, social housing is extremely important. I used to live on a farm
00:30I've had mortgages, I've rented houses myself until everything went seriously pear-sharked
00:35in my life. Social housing has been very important in terms of helping me with my recovery from
00:43serious depression etc etc and over the next 20 to 30 years or so because of what's happening
00:50with property prices social housing is going to become more and more important not less
00:55important and you know there is nothing wrong with living within social housing and I had
01:04a heavy mortgage years ago I don't want another one again and I'll tell you what this housing
01:09association is stuck with me for life.
