00:00I'm all for, I'm absolutely all for good working relations with European countries and of course
00:06that was part of the TCA which was the withdrawal agreement when we left the EU and the transitional
00:11arrangements that were put in place. We've always known that you learn from what works,
00:16what doesn't work and that needed to be amended over time and all of that work would come
00:21inevitably. So we welcome that but there's a big but here, we haven't seen the details.
00:27So for example, will we have to bring in new legislation in Parliament because we're speaking
00:32about food, food standards, phytosanitary checks for example, you know that also will be subject
00:38to the European Court of Justice which is a court not in this country which is based in Luxembourg.
00:44They're going to oversee that process so that's going to involve some domestic legislation.
00:49We didn't hear any of that from the government so my fundamental point is that we need to
00:54A see the detail but we need the government to be honest about the implications of all
00:59of this, how it's going to work, tell us how it's going to work rather than just say it's
01:04fantastic, there's a press release, let's go and drink some champagne which is clearly what
01:07they were doing yesterday.
