00:00Residents of Kyiv expressed little optimism about progress towards peace with Russia.

00:07Following talks between Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Turkey last week,

00:14U.S. President Donald Trump held separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin

00:20and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

00:23Among ordinary Ukrainians, hope for a potential ceasefire and lasting peace remains dim.

00:32Now it's impossible. When there's no resources, when there's no army,

00:38they're ready to fight in the summer. It's possible, but now it's not.

00:43He will hold the time and everything.

00:46I think that he just takes time. He wants more land.

00:54He himself said that he needs the territory.

01:01But he doesn't leave anything.
