00:00Welcome to Italy, home of the Leaning Tower, delicious pizza pie, the statue of that dude
00:06with his junk hanging out, and oh yeah, Mariska Hargitay's biological father!
00:11So Mariska Hargitay revealed over the weekend that Mickey Hargitay is not her father.
00:18Biologically, my mind is absolutely blown.
00:22She has a new documentary coming out about her mom, Jane Mansfield, so it's all going
00:27to be revealed in that.
00:28Yes, because Mariska's movie star mom, Jane Mansfield, was married to famous bodybuilder
00:33Mickey Hargitay.
00:34But it turns out Mickey was not Mariska's biological pups.
00:37I guess her mother separated from Mickey for a little while, and then was dating this Italian
00:45singer and comedian named Nelson Sardelli.
00:47He's the father?
00:48Yeah, so he's the actual father.
00:50So Mickey and Jane got back together, and then obviously Mickey raised her, so she considers
00:56Mickey her dad.
00:57Mariska says she first had an inkling when she saw a picture of Nelson, and then when
01:01she was in her 30s, she went to see him perform, and Nelson confirmed the fact.
01:05They basically have some sort of relationship now, where she speaks with Nelson and his family,
01:10but she still considers Mickey her dad.
01:12But what does she consider Nelson?
01:14Her biological father.
01:15But what does that mean?
01:16What does that mean?
01:17We don't have time to explain how human reproduction works.
01:19Maybe Google it or something after the show.
01:21Anyway, finding out Nelson was her biological father must have been hard for Mariska, but
01:25think of the upside.
01:26It'd be cool to find out you're like half Italian all of a sudden, though.
01:29Yeah.
01:29You'd go and spend time in Rome.
01:31That would be great.
01:32Yes, because currently only Italian people are allowed into Italy, which must be ruining
01:35their tourist industry.
01:37Learning hard truths can be painful, but sometimes they provide the clarity we need to move forward
01:40in life goodbye, everybody.
