00:21On Saturday, May 24th, Ace Hardware is partnering with the Veterans of Foreign Wars to distribute 1 million free American flags at participating stores nationwide.
00:33From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers can collect a flag to proudly display throughout the holiday weekend, while supplies last.

00:57Meanwhile in York, Pennsylvania, a special moment in history is being honored with the groundbreaking of the Four Chaplains Memorial at Veterans Memorial Park on May 26th at 10 a.m.
01:08These chaplains sacrificed their own life jackets in World War II so others could survive united in prayer as their ship went down.
01:17Later that morning, York's annual Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden honoring the fallen, including PFC Frederick S. Fullerton Jr. killed in action during the Vietnam War.
01:30And in downtown Hanover, a Memorial Day parade will march through the streets from 8.30 to 11 a.m., ending at Mount Olivet Cemetery with a tribute near the Soldiers' Monument.
